How To Apply for General Nursing and Midwifery Course in Kerala?

The application process for nursing programs in Kerala is different for government and private institutions.

Government General Nursing Colleges: Students must apply for government nursing colleges through the LBS website, the centralized portal for applying to professional degree courses in Kerala. The score required for nursing admission in government nursing institutes will be high. The fee structure of the Government nursing colleges will be lower (approximately Rs-24000/Year).

Private General Nursing Colleges: You should apply directly to each nursing institution you want to be admitted to. Visit the college’s website for details on its application form and process. Some may have an online application portal, while others require you to submit a physical application. The score needed for nursing admission in private nursing institutes under management will be lower than that of government nursing institutes. The fee structure of the private nursing colleges will be higher than that of government nursing schools(approximately Rs-90000/Year) for the GNM Courses. 

Admission criteria

Admission criteria are the same for both government and private nursing institutes in Kerala.
Selection will be based primarily on the percentage of marks attained in the 12th standard board exams. Entrance exams are not conducted as part of the nursing admission process. As per Kerala government rules, there are reservations for categories like SC/ST/OBC.
